The Sargent 80 Series 12-8946J is a heavy-duty mortise exit device engineered for commercial buildings requiring maximum durability and security. Ideal for wood or metal doors 1-3/4" thick, this Grade 1 certified device features modular construction with minimal moving parts, delivering maintenance-free operation and reliable emergency egress for any facility.
This J-rail configuration fits doors 37" to 42" wide with no cutting required for 42" doors. Doors must have a minimum 4-1/2" stile width. Doors over 1-3/4" thick require special ordering as a 31-option.
