The Sargent 80 Series exit device (model 1943-MD8606F) is a Grade 1 panic hardware solution for metal doors requiring durable, maintenance-free security. Built with modular construction and few moving parts, it exceeds ANSI/BHMA standards for cycle and strength, making it ideal for commercial facilities, schools, and institutional buildings where reliable egress control is essential.
This rim-mounted device fits metal doors 1 3/4" to 2 1/4" thick and features a 606 bottom strike for panic and fire-rated applications. E-rail configuration suits 24"–32" door widths without cutting. Hex-key dogging, optional electric features (alarm, beacon, photoluminescent coating, delayed egress), and monitoring capabilities are available.
