The Sargent 80 Series MD8640F is a heavy-duty rim exit device engineered for commercial metal doors requiring ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 security and durability. Ideal for facilities demanding maintenance-free operation and superior strength, this left-hand reverse (LHR) device features modular construction with minimal moving parts, perfect for buildings where reliability over the life of the structure is non-negotiable.
This device fits metal doors 1-3/4" minimum thickness with a 4-1/2" minimum stile width and includes standard hex key dogging on non-fire-rated versions. Available rail sizes (E, F, J, G) accommodate door widths 24-48". Optional electric features include delayed egress, alarmed exit, and latch retraction.
