The Sargent 281-PS Powerglide is a heavy-duty cast iron surface door closer engineered for interior and exterior applications. Designed for architects and building owners who demand ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 performance, it solves the problem of reliable door control across demanding commercial environments with adjustable spring power (sizes 1-6) and ADA compliance on all mounting configurations.
The 281-PS mounts to most standard, top jamb, parallel, and track installations and is UL/CUL listed for fire doors. It retrofits existing Sargent 250 and 1250 Series installations.
