Its cast iron body, forged steel arm, and double heat-treated steel pinion deliver exceptional durability. The non-sized cylinder adjusts for interior doors to 5'0" and exterior doors to 4'0", making it ideal for schools, hospitals, and commercial facilities.
The 4040XP meets ADA requirements and carries UL and cUL listings for self-closing doors without hold open. It's tested and certified to ANSI Standard A156.4, Grade 1.
