The Sargent 80 Series MD8646G is a rim-mounted exit device engineered for metal doors requiring institutional-grade security and reliability. Ideal for commercial buildings, schools, and high-traffic facilities, this Grade 1 device combines a durable pushbar mechanism with modular construction to minimize maintenance while meeting strict fire and panic egress codes.
This left-hand reverse (LHR) model installs on 1-3/4" minimum metal doors and mounts at 41" from finished floor. Available rail sizes (E, F, J, G) accommodate doors 24" to 48" wide. Optional electric features include delayed egress, alarms, photoluminescent coating, and remote latch retraction.
