Its patent-pending infrared detection automatically releases the locking device when the light beam is broken, requiring no user knowledge or effort. The 692 SmartBar mounts universally on aluminum, hollow metal, and wood doors using quick-installation brackets and is field-reversible for left- or right-hand operation.
