The Sargent 8966G is a Grade 1 mortise exit device built for high-traffic commercial doors requiring maximum durability and security. Designed for wood or metal doors 1-3/4" thick with 4-1/2" minimum stiles, this device suits offices, hospitals, schools and industrial facilities where reliable emergency egress and controlled access matter.
The 8966G fits E-rail doors 24"-32" wide (no cutting required at 32"). Modular construction with few moving parts ensures low maintenance and long service life.
