The Sargent 80 Series AD8606E is a heavy-duty exit device for metal doors requiring Grade 1 security and durability. Ideal for commercial facilities, schools, and institutional buildings, this rim-mounted device with right-hand reverse configuration exceeds ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 cycle and strength requirements. Its modular design and minimal moving parts eliminate maintenance while providing reliable emergency egress and perimeter security.
This device fits 1-3/4" minimum thickness metal doors with 4-1/2" minimum stile width and includes E-rail sizing for 24" to 32" door widths (factory-cut to size). Compatible with 650 top and 606 bottom strikes for panic and fire-rated applications. Optional features include delayed egress, alarmed exit, electric latch retraction, and monitoring systems.
