The Norton 8501 Series is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer designed for commercial interior and exterior doors. Built with a cast aluminum body and rack-and-pinion mechanism, it delivers reliable performance across demanding applications while maintaining a sleek appearance with a full plastic cover standard on every unit.
This non-handed closer installs on either door orientation and projects just 2-1/8" from the door surface. Spring power adjusts from size 1 to 6, with hex-key valves controlling sweep speed, latch speed, and backcheck intensity. Norton's fluid maintains stable viscosity from extreme heat to -40°F.
