The Schlage L9050B is an extra heavy-duty mortise lock engineered for high-traffic commercial environments including schools, hospitals, and factories. Built to ANSI Grade 1 standards, it features a fully wrapped steel case, all-metal working parts, and a two-piece anti-friction tongue designed to withstand constant daily use and resist door edge attacks.
This universal lock case supports ten functions in one body and is field-reversible for RH or LH handing without disassembly. It includes a break-away spindle for security and easy replacement, hub blocking plate to discourage spindle manipulation, and fail-secure fusible link for fire safety.
