The Schlage L9056J is an extra heavy-duty mortise lock built for high-traffic commercial environments including schools, hospitals, and factories. This ANSI Grade 1 certified lock withstands constant use and abuse with a heavy-gauge steel case, all-metal zinc dichromate-plated components, and two-piece anti-friction tongue design that reduces wear.
The L9056J supports ten functions in one universal case and is field-reversible without opening the lock. Compatible with standard mortise lock applications, it features a break-away spindle for security and easy replacement, plus fail-secure operation via spring-loaded fusible link.
