The Schlage L9076C is an ANSI Grade 1 mortise lock built for high-traffic institutional environments including schools, hospitals, and factories. This extra heavy-duty lock features a fully wrapped steel case, zinc dichromate-plated components, and anti-friction tongue design to withstand constant use and abuse while maintaining reliable operation.
The L9076C supports ten functions in a universal case and accommodates beveled doors with floating mounting tabs. It includes a break-away spindle for security and easy replacement, hub blocking plate to discourage spindle manipulation, and field-reversible handing.
