The Schlage L9440 41N 612 is an ANSI Grade 1 mortise lock engineered for high-traffic institutional environments including schools, hospitals, and factories. Its heavy-gauge steel case, zinc dichromate-plated components, and two-piece anti-friction tongue deliver durability and dependable operation under constant use and abuse.
This lock features a universal case with ten functions in one, field-reversible handing, and external spring cages for simple trim retrofit. Floating mounting tabs accommodate beveled doors. The break-away spindle prevents unsecured failures and allows easy replacement.
