The Schlage LV9040 is an extra heavy-duty mortise lock built for high-traffic commercial environments like schools, hospitals, and factories. It meets ANSI Grade 1 standards and features a heavy-gauge steel case, zinc dichromate-plated working parts, and a two-piece anti-friction tongue designed to withstand constant use and abuse without fail.
This universal lock case supports ten functions in one housing and is field-reversible without opening the case, making retrofit and installation flexible. The break-away spindle prevents spindle manipulation while enabling easy replacement.
