Description
The Marks 116A Metro is a workhorse apartment entrance lockset: a mortise lock with lever handle built for the daily traffic of multi-family buildings. Entrance function means the latch locks from outside for security while the inside lever always opens freely, which is exactly what egress codes want on a dwelling door.
Landlords and supers choose the 116A because it fits standard mortise preps common in apartment doors, takes standard mortise cylinders for easy re-keying between tenants, and shrugs off the abuse that kills cheaper cylindrical locks. The lever handle also satisfies accessibility requirements that knobs cannot.
Tell us your door handing and whether you need cylinders keyed alike across units; we ship apartment packages prepped so your locksmith or maintenance team can install straight from the box.
