The Sargent MD8610G is a Grade 1 rim exit device engineered for metal doors requiring commercial-grade security and durability. Ideal for facilities, schools, and high-traffic environments, this device combines a modular design with few moving parts to deliver maintenance-free operation and reliable panic egress control that exceeds ANSI/BHMA standards.
This right-hand reverse (RHR) unit fits doors 1-3/4" to 2-1/4" thick and mounts 41" from floor. E, F, J, and G rail options accommodate door widths from 24" to 48". Compatible with 650 top and 606 bottom strikes; optional features include delayed egress, alarm, photoluminescent coating, and electric latch retraction.
