Description
The Mul-T-Lock Hercular HD2 is a double cylinder deadbolt for doors where a thumbturn would be a liability, such as doors with adjacent glass that an intruder could break to reach inside. Both sides take Mul-T-Lock's patented telescoping pin cylinders, so the key control and pick resistance protect the door from either direction.
The Hercular body is built around a hardened, free-spinning bolt design that defeats sawing and wrenching attacks, with reinforced collars protecting the cylinders from drilling and pulling. It is a frequent specification for storefront back doors, shops with glazed entries, and gates.
A word of caution we give every buyer: double cylinder locks require a key to exit, so check your local fire egress rules for the door in question. Keep a key accessible from inside, and we can key the HD2 alike with your other Mul-T-Lock hardware before it ships.
