The Norton 8000 Series P8581M 612E is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer engineered for commercial interior and exterior applications. It combines reliable rack-and-pinion mechanics with a cast aluminum body to handle high-traffic doors while maintaining smooth, controlled closing action across extreme temperatures from -40°F to high heat.
This non-handed closer installs on either door hand and projects just 2-1/8" with standard cover. Features include independent sweep and latch speed adjustment, adjustable backcheck, multi-size spring power (sizes 1-6), and advanced closer fluid with anti-oxidation agents.
