The Norton 8301 is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer designed for commercial interior and exterior applications. Built with a cast aluminum body and rack-and-pinion mechanism, it delivers reliable performance across temperature extremes (-40°F to high heat) and exceeds 10 million cycles. Non-handed installation works on either hand doors, making it ideal for retrofit and new construction projects.
The 8301 features adjustable spring power (sizes 1-6), independent sweep and latch speed controls, and backcheck intensity adjustment via hex key. It projects just 2-1/8" with the standard slim-line plastic cover.
