Description
The Progressive Hardware R1000 solves a problem very few locks can: securing a revolving door. Turn the key 90 degrees and a stainless steel bolt drops by gravity, extending 1-9/16 inches into the floor strike. Originally designed for revolving doors in office towers and hotels, it is equally at home on sliding doors and other openings where a conventional latch has nothing to grab.
The case is machined from a solid aluminum ingot rather than cast, which is why these locks routinely outlast the doors they are installed on. It ships complete with a cylinder and two keys (Yale 1 keyway) and accepts any standard mortise cylinder, so building engineers can key it into an existing system or upgrade to a high-security cylinder. Choose satin aluminum (R1000AL) to match stainless and aluminum door hardware or duronodic (R1000DU) for dark bronze storefronts.
