The Sargent 8800 Series rim exit device is a reversible, Grade 1 panic hardware solution for wood and metal doors 1.75 inches thick. Designed for standard-width stiles, it provides single-point latching for single and double-door applications with mullions. This durable, quiet-operating device meets ANSI A156.3 standards and carries UL Fire and Panic listings.
The 1956-8843J model fits 37- to 42-inch door widths (J Rail) with no cutting required for 42-inch doors. For thicker doors, different models are available.
