Description
The Sargent 8270 is a 24V electrified mortise lock designed for access control on single or networked doors. Its fail safe function keeps the lock energized when power is normal and releases on power loss, making it ideal for high-security facilities, hospitals, data centers, and institutional buildings that require reliable emergency egress.
This mortise lock fits standard 2 3/8-inch backset doors with an L lever on LN rose and satin chrome finish (US26D). Field-changeable between fail safe and fail secure modes, it operates on 12V to 24V power and meets ANSI/BHMA A 156.13 Grade 1 and UL fire door ratings.
