The Norton 8301 is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer designed for interior and exterior doors in commercial and institutional settings. It solves the problem of unreliable door control by combining a rack-and-pinion mechanism with precise valve adjustment, delivering over 10 million cycles of reliable performance without wearing out.
The 8301 is non-handed, fitting left or right hinged doors, and projects just 2-1/8" from the door surface with its standard slim-line plastic cover. Spring sizes 1-6 are adjustable, and sweep speed, latch speed, and backcheck intensity are all tuned via hex key.
