The Norton 8301 is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer designed for commercial interior and exterior doors. Built with a cast aluminum body and rack-and-pinion mechanism, it delivers reliable performance across demanding applications while maintaining a compact profile that projects just 2-1/8" from the door surface with its standard slim-line plastic cover.
This non-handed closer suits doors of either swing direction and installs on the push side of most doors. Spring power adjusts from size 1 to 6, while independent hex-key valves control sweep and latch speeds plus backcheck intensity. The closer exceeds 10 million cycles and maintains performance in temperatures from -40°F to extreme heat.
