The Norton 8501 is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer designed for interior and exterior doors in commercial and institutional settings. It solves the challenge of reliable, consistent door closing with a non-handed rack-and-pinion design that works on doors of either hand, rated for over 10 million cycles.
The 8501 is compatible with standard door frames and installs surface-mounted, projecting just 2-1/8" from the door.
