The Sargent 80 Series rim exit device is a Grade 1 panic hardware solution for wood or metal doors requiring ANSI/BHMA certified security and durability. Engineered for single and double-door applications, this device features single-point latching, quiet operation, and modular construction that minimizes maintenance while exceeding industry cycle and strength standards for institutional and commercial facilities.
The 1256-8813E fits doors 1 3/4 inches thick; thicker doors require a 31-prefix order. Rails accommodate door widths from 24 to 48 inches with no cutting for standard widths.
