The Sargent 281-O TB EB is a heavy-duty cast iron surface door closer designed for architects and building owners who demand reliable performance on interior and exterior doors. This ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 closer solves the challenge of controlling door swing while meeting fire-rated opening requirements and ADA accessibility standards across virtually every application.
The 281 series features adjustable spring power (sizes 1-6, factory-set to size 3), a 1-1/2" diameter piston for superior control, and all-weather fluid for reliable operation in extreme temperatures.
