The LCN 4040XP-HEDA is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer engineered for high-traffic institutional and commercial environments. It features 44% increased bearing load capacity, a reinforced 3/4" pinion journal, and LCN's enhanced V-shield seal for superior durability and 20% extended seal life. Built with cast iron, forged steel, and double heat-treated components, this closer delivers reliable performance in demanding applications.
This non-handed closer mounts on hinge side, top jamb, or parallel arm configuration for right or left swing doors. It accommodates interior doors up to 5'0" and exterior doors to 4'0", and is fully ADA compliant. UL and cUL listed per ANSI A156.4 Grade One. Available finishes include standard powder coat, optional plating, and SRI primer for corrosive environments.
