Description

The Sargent 80 Series 43-8974J is a mortise exit device engineered for institutional and commercial facilities demanding durability and compliance. Rated ANSI/BHMA Grade 1, this right-hand reverse (RHR) device suits wood or metal doors 1-3/4" thick with minimum 4-1/2" stiles. Its modular design minimizes moving parts, reducing maintenance while delivering reliable emergency egress performance across the building's lifetime.

The J-rail configuration accommodates doors 37" to 42" wide without cutting. Options include delayed egress, alarmed exit, and electric latch retraction for specialized applications.
