The Sargent 80 Series 4356-WD8646J is a heavy-duty rim exit device engineered for commercial metal doors requiring Grade 1 security and durability. Ideal for facilities, schools, and high-traffic environments, this RHR (right-hand reverse) device exceeds ANSI/BHMA standards and provides reliable emergency egress with minimal maintenance thanks to its modular construction and few moving parts.
This unit is configured for right-hand reverse mounting with J-rail (37-42" door widths) and 32D finish. Compatible with metal doors 1.75" to 2.25" thick using supplied machine screws. Installation requires 41" centerline from finished floor (38" for schools).
