Description
The Adams Rite 8420C is a mortise exit device built for narrow stile aluminum doors that demand life-safety compliance with integrated locking. Its extruded aluminum pushbar is non-handed, field-reversible, and available in multiple finishes. Ideal for commercial buildings, educational facilities, and high-traffic environments where secure, code-compliant egress is critical.
This device fits standard 1-3/4" to 2-1/4" door thickness and doors up to 8 feet tall (10-foot kits available separately). Pushbars come sized for 30", 36", 42", and 48" openings and can be field-cut to smaller widths. The bar height adjusts 30" to 44", and it accepts standard rim or mortise cylinders (sold separately).
