The Sargent 8506E is a Grade 1 rim exit device built for demanding commercial and institutional environments where durability and security are non-negotiable. Its modular construction with minimal moving parts delivers maintenance-free operation and reliable emergency egress for wood or metal doors up to 1-3/4" thick, making it ideal for schools, hospitals, offices and multi-tenant facilities.
This left-hand reverse model fits doors 24" to 32" wide using the E Rail configuration with no cutting required on 32" doors. The 80 Series exceeds ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 cycle and strength standards and supports optional delayed egress, alarmed exit and electric latch retraction features for specialized applications.
