The Adams Rite 8701A-48B is a rim exit device designed for hollow metal or wood doors up to 8 feet tall. Battery-operated alarm function provides emergency egress with audible notification. Built from extruded aluminum with field-reversible lever trim, this non-handed device suits standard 1 3/4 inch to 2 1/4 inch door thickness and delivers reliable code-compliant exit control.
The 48 inch pushbar installs on doors with 3 3/4 inch minimum stile width and adjusts from 30 to 44 inches in height.
