The Adams Rite 8701A-42B is a rim exit device designed for hollow metal or wood doors up to 8 feet tall. This battery-operated alarm device features an extruded aluminum pushbar available in multiple finishes, ideal for commercial buildings requiring ADA-compliant emergency egress and monitored alarm capability on standard door openings.
The 42-inch pushbar suits doors 1.75 to 2.25 inches thick and adjusts from 30 to 44 inches in height. Non-handed design and field-reversible lever trim allow flexible installation.
