The Von Duprin 9827L Surface-Mounted Vertical Rod Exit Device is a UL-listed panic hardware solution designed for single and double doors in hospitals, schools, offices and commercial facilities. It solves the critical need for reliable, code-compliant emergency egress while protecting occupants and property with a durable, smooth-case mechanism that meets ANSI A156.3 Grade 1 standards.
This model fits standard hollow metal doors with 86 or 161 cutouts and is available in satin chrome (26D) finish. Vertical rod and latch guards are available to protect the bottom rod from cart or gurney impacts.
