The Adams Rite 4900 Series is a heavy-duty mortise deadlatch designed for applications requiring flexible traffic control. Perfect for facilities needing two-way access at certain times and exit-only at others, this lock lets you reverse-turn the key to hold the bolt retracted, solving the challenge of managing entry and egress on the same door without modification.
This deadlatch is interchangeable with MS1850A or MS1850S deadbolts of matching backset and faceplate, and retrofits existing 4500/4700 preparations. The solid brass latch bolt is reversible with just a screwdriver, and stainless steel auxiliary pins prevent loiding.
