The Norton 8501 Series is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer designed for interior and exterior doors in commercial and institutional buildings. It solves the problem of unreliable door closing by combining a rack-and-pinion mechanism with a cast aluminum body, delivering smooth, dependable performance across demanding applications with minimal maintenance.
This non-handed closer installs on either door swing and projects just 2-1/8 inches from the door surface with its standard full plastic cover. It features adjustable spring power (sizes 1-6), independent sweep and latch speed controls, and backcheck adjustment via hex key.
