The Norton 8501 Series is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer designed for interior and exterior doors in commercial and institutional settings. It solves the need for reliable, durable door control with a non-handed design that works on either hand, rack-and-pinion mechanism, and cast aluminum construction rated for over 10 million cycles.
The 8501 is compatible with standard door frames and mounts surface-style, projecting just 2-1/8 inches maximum. Spring power adjusts from size 1 to 6, and sweep, latch, and backcheck speeds all adjust independently via hex key.
