The Schlage L9050H 17A is an extra heavy-duty mortise lock engineered for high-traffic institutional environments including schools, hospitals, and factories. Built to ANSI Grade 1 standards, it features a fully wrapped steel case, all-metal zinc dichromate-plated working parts, and a two-piece anti-friction tongue to withstand constant use and abuse without fail.
This universal lock case supports ten functions and accommodates beveled doors with floating mounting tabs. It includes a break-away spindle for security and easy replacement, hub blocking plate to discourage spindle manipulation, and spring-loaded fusible link for fail-secure fire mode. The 630 AM finish is field-reversible and accepts standard Schlage trim.
