The Norton 8501 is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer designed for interior and exterior applications where reliable, consistent closing performance is essential. Built with a cast aluminum body and rack-and-pinion mechanism, it handles over 10 million cycles and suits virtually any commercial or institutional door opening challenge.
This non-handed closer installs on either door swing and projects just 2-1/8" from the door surface with its standard full plastic cover. Spring power adjusts from size 1 to 6, while independent hex-key valves control sweep and latch speed; backcheck and optional delayed-action closing are also adjustable.
