Description
The Norton PR9500 689 is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer designed for high-traffic institutional and commercial facilities. Built with a cast iron body and rack-and-pinion mechanism, it delivers ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 reliability across interior and exterior applications. Non-handed design and adjustable spring power (sizes 1-6) make it ideal for facilities requiring ADA compliance and flexible installation.
This closer mounts on standard 1-3/4" top rails or jambs with minimal projection (under 2-1/4"), and features concealed valves for closing speed, latching speed, and optional backcheck control.
