The Norton 8501 is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer designed for interior and exterior applications requiring reliable, consistent performance. Built with a cast aluminum body and rack-and-pinion mechanism, it solves the need for durable, non-handed closers that function across extreme temperature ranges and withstand millions of cycles.
The 8501 is non-handed, fitting either left or right hand doors, and projects only 2-1/8" from the door surface with its standard full plastic cover. Hex-key adjustable valves let you customize sweep speed, latch speed, and backcheck intensity to your door's specific needs.
