The 8501 ships with a full plastic cover and projects just 2-1/8" from the door surface. Spring power adjusts from size 1 to 6; sweep speed, latch speed, and backcheck are independently controlled via hex key. Closer fluid maintains stable viscosity from -40°F to extreme heat.
