The Sargent 80 Series WD8643E is a heavy-duty exit device built for metal doors requiring ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 performance. Ideal for commercial facilities, schools, and high-traffic buildings, this rim-mounted device delivers durability, minimal maintenance, and reliable emergency egress with modular construction and few moving parts.
This left-hand reverse (LHR) model fits 1.75-inch minimum door thickness and 4.5-inch minimum stile width. Choose from E, F, J, or G rails based on your door width (24-48 inches); factory cutting is available if needed. Pair with 650 top and 606 bottom strikes for panic and fire-rated applications. Optional features include delayed egress, alarms, latch monitoring, and electric dogging.
