The LCN 4040XP-61 is a heavy-duty door closer engineered for institutional and high-traffic commercial environments. Its extra-protection design features 44% increased bearing load capacity, a 3/4" journal pinion, and a reinforced V-Shield seal rated 20% longer lasting. Built from cast iron, forged steel, and double heat-treated components, this closer handles demanding daily use in schools, hospitals, and public facilities.
The 4040XP-61 mounts on hinge side, top jamb, or parallel arm configurations for right or left swinging doors, with non-sized adjustability up to 5'0" interior and 4'0" exterior. It is UL and cUL listed, ANSI A156.4 Grade One certified, and compatible with all 4040 accessories.
