The LCN 4040XP-HEDA is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer engineered for institutional and high-traffic environments. Built with cast iron, forged steel, and double heat-treated pinion, it delivers 44% increased bearing load capacity and the industry's strongest pinion at 3/4" journal diameter. The V-shield seal extends life 20% longer, making it ideal for demanding commercial applications.
This non-handed closer mounts on hinge side, top jamb, or parallel arm and fits interior doors to 5'0" and exterior doors to 4'0". It is UL and cUL listed to ANSI A156.4 Grade One and compatible with all 4040 accessories.
