The Norton 8301 is a surface-mounted door closer designed for interior and exterior applications where reliable, smooth closing performance is essential. Built with a cast aluminum body and rack-and-pinion mechanism, it combines durability with a compact profile that projects only 2-1/8" from the door surface, making it ideal for retrofit and new construction projects.
Non-handed installation works on doors of either swing direction. Adjustable spring power (sizes 1-6), sweep speed, latch speed, and backcheck valves give facility managers precise control over closing behavior in temperatures from -40°F to extreme heat.
