The Sargent 6500 is a standard-duty key-in-lever cylindrical lock built for interior and passage doors. It exceeds ANSI A156.2 Series 4000 Grade 2 requirements and fits doors 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick, making it ideal for commercial and institutional applications where reliable, code-compliant security is essential.
This universal-hand lock installs on standard 2-3/4" backset (2-3/8" optional) with ANSI A115.2 161 door prep. The 6-pin brass cylinder comes keyed with two nickel silver keys in LA keyway standard.
