The LCN 4040SEH is a heavy-duty, non-handed surface-mounted door closer and electromagnetic hold-open device designed for fire and smoke barrier doors. It holds doors open until power interruption triggers closure, solving the need for hands-free emergency egress compliance on interior doors up to 4 feet wide. Ideal for healthcare facilities, laboratories, and commercial buildings requiring code-compliant door control.
This 120V model ships with a single lever track arm, standard cover, and fastener packs; SEL tracks are optional. The non-sized cylinder accommodates most interior door frames, with adjustable hold-open force. It functions as a full rack-and-pinion closer when hold-open is inactive, mounts on either side of the door, and supports both concealed and surface wiring.
